The Parable of the Accidental Guru

Accidental Guru Industries was founded in 2001 by Daniel Andrade. Mr. Andrade saw the need amongst small and medium sized business to have well qualified systems administration. Most smaller companies don't need a full time IT staff. They just need someone knowledgeable to check the system periodically, help plan upgrades, and provide guidance through the decisions that require a full time technical background to comprehend

Mr. Andrade is the Accidental Guru behind Accidental Guru Industries. This title befell him because he did not set out to become a systems guru. When he received his degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996 with dual Bachelors of Arts degrees in English and Psychology IT was not a career he anticipated. Various positions in Real Estate, pharmaceuticals, entertainment, and financial services proved that no matter where he went, or what job he applied for, he always became the de facto systems administrator because of his knowledge of Macintosh, Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/2003, and Unix/Linux operating systems, his patience, and strength of will.

Mr. Andrade understood that the dirty work of IT needed to be done, but knew that it was not a full time position for most companies. He knew that he was uniquely qualified and tirelessly motivated to solve problems. Thus, Accidental Guru Industries was born. Its goal-to redefine the way that IT works for small to medium sized businesses.
